WAITING ON THE LORD  5-10-24 VIDEO WAITING ON GOD BILL JOHNSON 2

This means to trust in Him. That He is working for us even when His timetable is longer than ours. To wait means to be aware of God, who is all around us and discerning the right time to do the next thing. Waiting means to stay or rest with expectation. It is really hard sometimes to wait on the Lord. Instead of trying to make your own plan, know that  His plan and timing are always much better than ours. Even the Earth is waiting for the sons of God to show themselves. And sometimes God waits for us.

PS 27:14 Here's the one thing I crave from YAHWEH, the one thing I seek above all else: I want to live with him every moment in his house, beholding the marvelous beauty of YAHWEH, filled with awe, delighting in his glory and grace. TPT

ISA 40:29 He empowers the feeble and infuses the powerless with increasing strength.

30 Even young people faint and get exhausted; athletic ones may stumble and fall.

31 But those who entwine their hearts with Yahweh  will experience divine strength.

They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles, run their races without growing weary, and walk through life without giving up.  TPT

↕↕↕

Isa 40:29 He energizes those who get tired, gives fresh strength to dropouts.

30 For even young people tire and drop out, young folk in their prime stumble and fall.

31 But those who wait upon God get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles, They run and don't get tired, they walk and don't lag behind. MSG

PS 37:7 Quiet your heart in his presence and wait patiently for YAHWEH. And don't think for a moment that the wicked, in their prosperity, are better off than you.  TPT

Ps 38:15 What I do, God, is wait for you, wait for my Lord, my God you will answer!  MSG

Isa 64:4 Since before time began no one has ever imagined, No ear heard, no eye seen, a God like you who works for those who wait for him. MSG

 ↕↕↕

ISA 64:4 These amazing things had never been heard of before; you did things never dreamed of! No one perceived your greatness. No eye has ever seen a God like you, who intervenes for those who wait and long for you! TPT

Rom 8:24 That is why waiting does not diminish us, any more than waiting diminishes a pregnant mother. We are enlarged in the waiting. We, of course, don't see what is enlarging us.

25 But the longer we wait, the larger we become, and the more joyful our expectancy.

26 Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans.

27 He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God.

28 That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good. MSG ↕↕↕

ROM 8:24 For this is the hope of our salvation. But hope means that we must trust and wait for what is still unseen. For why would we need to hope for something we already have?

25 So because our hope is set on what is yet to be seen, we patiently keep on waiting for its fulfillment. TPT

Jer 29:11 I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.

12 "When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I'll listen.

13 "When you come looking for me, you'll find me. "Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, MSG

Lam 3:25 God proves to be good to the man who passionately waits, to the woman who diligently seeks.

26 It's a good thing to quietly hope, quietly hope for help from God.

27 It's a good thing when you're young to stick it out through the hard times.

28 When life is heavy and hard to take, go off by yourself. Enter the silence.

29 Bow in prayer. Don't ask questions: Wait for hope to appear.

30 Don't run from trouble. Take it full-face. The "worst" is never the worst.

31 Why? Because the Master won't ever walk out and fail to return.

32 If he works severely, he also works tenderly. His stockpiles of loyal love are immense.

33 He takes no pleasure in making life hard, in throwing roadblocks in the way:

34 Stomping down hard on luckless prisoners,

35 Refusing justice to victims in the court of High God,

36 Tampering with evidence   the Master does not approve of such things.

God Speaks Both Good Things and Hard Things into Being

37 Who do you think "spoke and it happened"? It's the Master who gives such orders.

38 Doesn't the High God speak everything, good things and hard things alike, into being? MSG

PS 130:5 I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.

6 I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning.

7 Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption. TPT

PS 33:20 The Lord alone is our radiant hope and we trust in him with all our hearts. His wraparound presence will strengthen us.

21 As we trust, we rejoice with an uncontained joy flowing from Yahweh!

22 Let your love and steadfast kindness overshadow us continually, for we trust and we wait upon you!  TPT

Ps 130:5 I pray to God my life a prayer   and wait for what he'll say and do.

6 My life's on the line before God, my Lord, waiting and watching till morning, waiting and watching till morning.

7 O Israel, wait and watch for God   with God's arrival comes love, with God's arrival comes generous redemption. MSG

JAMES 5:7 Meanwhile, brothers and sisters, we must be patient and filled with expectation as we wait for the appearing of the Lord. Think about the farmer who has to patiently wait for the earths harvest as it ripens because of the early and latter rains.

8 So you also, keep your hopes high and be patient, for the presence of the Lord is drawing closer.  TPT

2 Peter 3:9 God isn't late with his promise as some measure lateness. He is restraining himself on account of you, holding back the End because he doesn't want anyone lost. He's giving everyone space and time to change. MSG

↕↕↕

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people's conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance. AMP

Matt 6:34 So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble. AMP

Hab 2:3This vision-message is a witness pointing to what's coming. It aches for the coming it can hardly wait! And it doesn't lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It's on its way. It will come right on time.  MSG

Isa 30:18 But God's not finished. He's waiting around to be gracious to you. He's gathering strength to show mercy to you. God takes the time to do everything right everything. Those who wait around for him are the lucky ones.

19 Oh yes, people of Zion, citizens of Jerusalem, your time of tears is over. Cry for help and you'll find it's grace and more grace. The moment he hears, he'll answer. MSG

Rom 5:6 Christ arrives right on time to make this happen. He didn't, and doesn't, wait for us to get ready. He presented himself for this sacrificial death when we were far too weak and rebellious to do anything to get ourselves ready. And even if we hadn't been so weak, we wouldn't have known what to do anyway.

7 We can understand someone dying for a person worth dying for, and we can understand how someone good and noble could inspire us to selfless sacrifice.

8 But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him. MSG

1 John 2:28 And now, children, stay with Christ. Live deeply in Christ. Then we'll be ready for him when he appears, ready to receive him with open arms, with no cause for red-faced guilt or lame excuses when he arrives. MSG

Jer 1:12 Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.   AMP

ROM 8:19 Our lives now represent the one event every creature anticipates with held breath, standing on tip-toe as it were to witness the unveiling of the sons of God. Can you hear the drum-roll?

20 Every creature suffered abuse through Adams fall; they were discarded like a squeezed-out orange. Creation did not volunteer to fall prey to the effect of the fall. Yet within this stark setting, hope prevails.

21 All creation knows that the glorious liberty of the sons of God sets the stage for their own release from decay.  MIRROR

1 Cor 2:9 But, on the contrary, as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed].   AMP

Jer 31:3 The Lord appeared from of old to me [Israel], saying, Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn you and continued My faithfulness to you.  AMP

↕↕↕

Jer 31:3 met God out looking for them!" God told them, "I've never quit loving you and never will. Expect love, love, and more love!  MSG
